orion began as an experiment in lo-fi recording; the unintentional constraints of the first piece became the ethos of the entire project: raw, experimental music written and recorded in one sitting with a minimal setup and an impulse-over-polish ethos. it is not only a creative renewal, forcing myself out of a long musical drought, but a spiritual one too. in times of great uncertainty it is very grounding to seek direction from the stars
