2018 Rewind Mix:
This was intended to be the first in an annual series of mixes I would do at the end of each year compiling some of my favourite electronic music released over the course of the year. As such, this covers a decent variety of material, though it's not a notably fast paced or out there mix.

Journey Into Drum and Bass 2019:
Around this point in time I was experiencing something of a renaissance in my fandom of drum and bass and wanted to show off some of the tracks I had been jamming. Pretty straightforward mix that is mid-paced but high energy.

OG Jungle Rockas (1994):
My original period of being obsessed with jungle, this mix was also an experiment in processing the music I use, though in this case I chose to individually process every track as opposed to the more broad approach I've taken later on. I'm really proud of this one, I still go back to listen to it pretty frequently and I think the tracklist is rock solid, though I'd probably load it with a bit more actual jungle nowadays.

[REDACTED] Takeover:
The ultimate cursed mix, not only featuring numerous artists I would probably think twice about including in a mix now (including one I knew personally! Isn't that fun!), but created for and originally aired on the Twitch channel of a collective I actively do not associate with anymore. Despite all the cursed circumstances, this is one of my favourite mixes as it's the first time I really went all out with just doing something crazy and ambitious (in this case, a true genre free-for-all where nothing is off limits and everything is just off the wall all the time) and actually pulling it off somewhat competently. I go back to this one just to appreciate how much fun I had making it.

Dreambreak Vol. 1:
By far the most popular mix I've ever made, this actually got some real exposure thanks to it being reuploaded on the Dismiss Yourself YouTube channel. I really wanted to help spur the establishment of the dreambreak style - I don't know if I really succeeded, though enough dreambreak was released afterwards that I have a full tracklist for Vol. 2 that I really need to get around to actually mixing and releasing.

PKP Halloween 2020 Mix:
One of several mixes I have done for events in a Pendulum and Knife Party fan Discord that I've been an on and off member of for a few years now. This was for the 2020 Halloween DJ night, and I wanted to celebrate by only using tracks that either referenced Halloweeny things in their name or had spooky themes. This revisits the gradual speedup theme of Hardcore Lives 2K19, though it's mostly a lot less absurdly high octane, starting with some dark and groovy house stuff and only really getting into the really intense and evil material in the last 10 minutes.

Duskfall Hates You:
I believe this was inspired by a Party2012 event, as well as a general desire to experiment more with highly processed mixing. This is a bit of a rough one, I really wanted to capture the magic of the ol' cursed mix from earlier but struggled a little with chaining things together as seamlessly. I tried to not let distortion act as too much of a safety net but I wouldn't consider this one of my better more recent mixes. That said, the tracklist has a lot of really great oddball picks and I think it's enjoyable at least for that aspect.

Live @ Brainrave 2:
This was made in an extreme rush as a last-minute fill-in. The entire set and visuals were produced in less than half a day, which may help explain why it's somewhat roughshod in execution. I wanted to focus on making more of a proper Live Set™ rather than a DJ set, so this primarily features original music (though with a few mix-ins that I really wanted to showcase) and has a pretty slow flow. Like all of my mixes with high-effort visuals, I think this is strongly improved by watching the set video rather than just hearing the audio, though it should hopefully be enjoyable as well in audio form.

Live @ No Questions Asked 2:
I got into this pretty much directly because of the prior Brainrave set, and for this one I really wanted to focus on putting together more of an actual DJ set. Thematically, I wanted to showcase local Baltimore music, so a lot of the tracklist is drawn from cool stuff I've found while exploring the New Releases tab under the Baltimore tag on Bandcamp. I also loaded it with as much original music as I could muster up, meaning this actually has a lot of music that hasn't seen release yet. I put a lot of effort into the visuals, exploring an aesthetic I had started developing back in 2020 for my live sets, and I think this whole thing turned out really well. The tunes I found are great, the tunes I made are some of the best EDM I've ever made, and the visuals turned out great. Nowadays when people ask me about my DJ sets, this is usually the first one I link.

Graphic Psyolence:
This started as a name and sat there as nothing more for many months, at which point I found the cover art in the Camp Cryptid artwork repository. It took even longer for me to actually get around to making it, but a developing obsession with Brazilian hi-tech and psycore finally inspired me to create the stupid-long psy mix that eventually released. I had a lot of fun making this, and despite the absurd length it was actually a pretty easy and straightforward process. I tried to focus on blocking things based on themes - classic hi-tech, oldschool acid/goa, hard trance, Brazilian psycore, etc - which provided an interesting new dimension to figuring out how to order these tracks as it limited my options in what could follow what. That said, psy is pretty easy to mix so this was a breezy chill time.

Live @ Pawwork Release Party (2022-01-28):
This was another attempt to do a really high effort URL show set, though unlike the first two this was kind of a nightmare. The actual mixing process was fine; I wanted to go for more of a jokey cursed vibe and had a lot of fun picking out a mix of ridiculous and crazy hard tunes, and even was able to get some suggestions on stuff to include from my other friends in the event. The problem was the visuals - I had a lot of issues putting them together owing to my program of choice (Shotcut) being kinda a nightmare (and several updates behind by that point, which didn't help). Not only was the process agonizingly slow due to how relatively intricate the visuals were, but I had a lot of technical issues with crashes wiping out hours of progress and Shotcut having a host of weird issues that made putting clips together just a total pain in the ass. Despite how awful the process of making this was, the end results are pretty great - I enjoy the mix for how silly it is and the visuals turned out about as well I could hope for having basically no video editing skills. It's janky and kinda cheap but I like the vibe.

Hardcore Lives Infinity ∞:
My newest mix at time of writing, and by far the one I've put the most effort into. I'm not sure exactly how I came up with the idea of an ultra-long chronological hardcore mix, but I started tracklisting and mixing this back in August before finally finishing it in October. I really wanted to make something special as my final Mixcloud upload, and put a lot of effort into making this truly epic in scale. The sheer scale of it made the whole process a bit of a pain, as the frequent tempo changes really made things chug necessitating working on this in pieces and then compiling later (something made more difficult by FL Studio really not wanting to export the full 11 hour audio file after I put it all together). Despite the effort required to finish this in the relatively short amount of time I had left by the time I figured out my deadline for it, I had fun making this and am proud of it both as a huge conceptual work and on a technical level as it required a lot of trial and error in figuring out transitions that would work with the extremely low level of flexibility in track ordering.
